The Director of Support reports to the Regional Partner and is responsible for collaborating with the Managing Partner of the funeral homes and/or cemetery locations in their region to support the growth of the business and Carriage’s overall mission.
MUST BE LOCATED OR WILLING TO RELOCATE TO RI, NJ, MA, NH, ME or Eastern NY
Job Duties:
- Coach, counsel and make hiring decisions on each Managing Partner.
- Collaborate with Managing Partner in setting and driving organization goals and objectives.
- Support development and implementation of customized solution options for each business to achieve specific financial goals.
- Translate strategy into actionable steps for business growth.
- Assist Managing Partner with documentation and communication for difficult employee discussions prior to termination. Coordinate with HR as necessary.
- Support Managing Partner on developing an effective staffing level to maximize productivity.
- Monitor and recommend modifications to the prices of services and merchandise.
- Prioritize capital allocation to maximize Return on Investment.
- Understand and monitor compliance of Federal, state, and local laws and regulations for operation of a cemetery, cemetery sales, crematory, and funeral home.
- Encourage the development of new service offerings; work directly with Managing Partners to execute.

Qualifications:
- College degree or some college preferred.
- 5+ years’ Funeral Home or Sales management experience.
- Funeral Director License preferred.
- Strategic and innovative mindset
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
- 50%-75% Travel is required.
- Must live in or able to relocate to the Northeastern United States
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) required.
- Detail oriented and ability to work in a team setting.
